Field Service Technicians work on-site to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Caterpillar diesel engines and heavy mining equipment, including haul trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, and other support equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and technical skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Dedicated field support is currently concentrated in select Canadian oil sands service areas. Other North American projects may be considered depending on location, engine program, schedule, staffing requirements, and overall scope.

Qualifying programs can use four-person field service teams working two-week rotations. Within each rotation, two technicians are on shift and two are off shift, working 12-hour shifts to maintain continuous on-site coverage.

Field support can include installation assistance, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance support, inspections, warranty-related service, and site coordination. The exact scope is developed around the customer’s engine program and operating requirements.

Yes. Our technicians can provide support during installation preparation, startup, commissioning, and return-to-service activities. This helps create continuity between the rebuilt engine, the installation process, and the equipment’s return to operation.

Yes, warranty-related service can be part of the field support program. Our team can assist with issue documentation, technical review, troubleshooting, and coordination so warranty concerns have a clearer path toward resolution.
