Field Support
Experienced Field Technicians, Available Around the Clock
24/7 Field Support for Canadian Oil Sands Operations
For Canadian oil sands operations, getting a rebuilt CAT engine back to work is only part of the job. Independent Rebuild Specialist provides dedicated field service for qualifying CAT 3500 and C175 customers who need experienced technicians available on site after delivery.
For operations that want field service built into their CAT engine program, Independent Rebuild Specialist can provide dedicated on-site coverage rather than dispatch-only support. Your team gets direct access to experienced technicians who are already on site and ready to assist with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and warranty-related service needs.

Support Built Around Uptime

For uptime-critical operations, every minute matters. That is why dedicated field support provides experienced technicians who are ready to respond when service needs arise. Instead of waiting for support to travel to site, your team has direct access to technicians who understand your equipment and can assist with troubleshooting, repairs, commissioning, and maintenance.
For qualifying programs, Independent Rebuild Specialist can provide 24/7 on-site coverage through four-person field service teams working two-week rotations. Within each rotation, two technicians are on shift and two are off shift, working 12-hour shifts to maintain continuous coverage. This structure provides faster communication and quicker response when service is needed.
For Canadian oil sands operations, where equipment reliability is critical to production, having experienced field support available around the clock helps reduce downtime and keep equipment moving.

Field Support Availability
Field support is currently focused on Canadian oil sands operations and is available only in select service areas.
For customers outside that area, on-site field support may still be considered as part of a CAT 3500 or C175 engine rebuild or engine supply program. Availability depends on location, scope, schedule, and program requirements.
If you are interested in including field support with your engine rebuild plan, contact Independent Rebuild Specialist through our general inquiry form or call 1 303 659 4562.
Please include your engine models, site location, estimated timeline, and the type of on-site support you are looking for.
Field Support FAQs
Where is Independent Rebuild Specialist field support currently available?
Dedicated field support is currently concentrated in select Canadian oil sands service areas. Other North American projects may be considered depending on location, engine program, schedule, staffing requirements, and overall scope.
How does your dedicated 24/7 field support program work?
Qualifying programs can use four-person field service teams working two-week rotations. Within each rotation, two technicians are on shift and two are off shift, working 12-hour shifts to maintain continuous on-site coverage.
Can your technicians assist with engine installation and commissioning?
Yes. Our technicians can provide support during installation preparation, startup, commissioning, and return-to-service activities. This helps create continuity between the rebuilt engine, the installation process, and the equipment’s return to operation.
Do you provide on-site support for warranty-related engine concerns?
Yes, warranty-related service can be part of the field support program. Our team can assist with issue documentation, technical review, troubleshooting, and coordination so warranty concerns have a clearer path toward resolution.
Can your field technicians work directly with our maintenance team, planners, and site personnel?
Yes. Our field teams regularly coordinate with customer personnel to align with site procedures, maintenance schedules, reporting requirements, and operating standards. Effective field support depends on integrating with the customer’s operation rather than working separately from it.
